We opened the shop May 6, as promised, and have been rewarded with rain, frost, wind, a few nice days and now, this weekend, rain/snow mix for both Sat. and Sun. And we’re pretty tired of this stuff. We have had some folks in buying bait, but more have been buying lures of all types and Lorie Rig crawler harnesses and fly rigs by the 12 packs: thank you folks.

The nicer weather is once again just a few days away and we just have to be patient and tell ourselves that we have not got it so bad, watching floods, earthquakes, and tornadoes here in our country , can make you feel pretty good about our area. We did get a chance  to plant some flowers and cut the lawn, but who cares ? We want to go fishing, and we want you to be able to go and enjoy the lakes here.

We have had some success stories here and there, those who have been out there on the water, or just fishing from their docks, and this is good news. So we will wait  a while longer, and rejoice when the 70’s come back next week, and  start looking for air conditioners. We have definite signs of spring weather now, green lawns, dandelions and bugs galore.  We even had a beautiful display of thunder and lightening last night for a few hours, so Morels should be popping up in your favorite spots soon, like today even. { where did you say those spots were?}

Hang in there, winter is almost gone.And we are here.
