We have ice on Long Lake and Grand Lake now. We have had customers in the shop to verify this, and they are telling me that the ice is thin, but solid, and with this very cold front that is here now, the ice will grow thicker each day. The best advice right NOW is that if you are not familiar with these lakes, you need to use caution, and watch for others on the ice and talk to people there. Also, the bay areas are always the best to start with, due to their shallow water freezing quicker than say the middle of the lake. It’s winter, and we have a lot of winter left, so be careful and enjoy the fishing.
