HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
School is out, father’s day is approaching, and summer weather is here, ( some days). May flies are out, soon to be gone, and it’s your turn folks to get out there and enjoy some fishing.
We have heard some great success stories and seen pictures, e-mails, and look forward to a productive, happy summer. Walleye, Bass, some Perch now, and Gills, and Pike have all been caught by some folks. The only negative force seems to be the weather as usual. High winds, rain, seem to dominate our weather pictures. But on those golden days when the weather is perfect or near perfect, the rewards are good, and so are the experiences.
The depths have been varied by rising and falling temperatures, but the fish are out there that’s for sure. But you do need to get out there to catch them.
Our favorite bait, and top selling bait as well is the all time favorite night crawlers. That combined with a Lorie Rig crawler harness or fly rig will get you fish. Also working well are Hot’N Tots, Flicker Shads, and Rapalas. No big surprises here.
After several folks have been into the shop and told us about a bad experience with their night crawler purchase, from a variety of stores, we feel a need to explain why you should be buying crawlers here. Our crawlers are checked before they leave the store. If they aren’t top quality we return them to the dealer and they will NEVER leave with you.Our crawlers come in a Styrofoam container that prolongs bait life, and generally our crawlers are less money than those other stores are charging. Makes a lot more sense to buy them at Bucks. Oh, and also we need and want your business. AND, we ARE a bait shop.
The Bass baits leaving the shop right now are surface baits to catch those Bass chowing down on Mayflies. Also quite a few Crayfish baits ( artificial) have left the shop.
Pike want those Mepps and live Suckers. Gills go for the worms, smaller minnows, and Lorie Fly rigs.
No matter what you use, you’ll have fun out in these waters trying, catching, and eating.
