August 3, Saturday, from 7 am to 3 pm, the  23 rd Long Lake Improvement Association Family fishing Derby is coming. The event gives out over $1,000 in cash prizes, and all children ages 15 and under WILL receive  a prize just for showing up. There will be adult and youth contests, with prize money for 4 species, 5  for youth. And all you need to fish this fun event is a membership card for $15.00 and that covers the entire household. You do not have to own property on Long Lake or be a prior member. Any one can fish this event. You may buy your card right here at Buck’s if you like, and that also entitles you to receive information letters in your home mail.All proceeds from this donation go to future family derbies, and other Long Lake Association projects, such as fish stocking.  The event is held at Dodge Marine and  Storage, on Long lake Park road, just off of US 23 north.

The fishing reports from Long and Grand lakes continues to be very good, for all species. We have been getting a lot of nice pictures, and have seen a lot of nice fish brought into this shop. We will be fully stocked of course, with giant crawlers   [ $1.99 doz] minnows, and leeches. We also have a great stock of Lorie rigs,  and stick baits and Bass tackle. We hope to see you here soon.
