The fourth of July crowds were very happy, and that’s because so many were catching fish on Long lake and Grand lake. We appreciate all the pictures and the comments from our guests, and the many compliments. We have seen and photographed large perch, pike, bass and crappy. We have heard of nice walleye catches too, on both lakes.

One guest, a very happy youth was telling us about how he and his brother were trading lures since one was catching a lot of fish on a Lorie Rig, and he did not have one. It reminded us of the good old days of trading marbles.

This may sound just like an advertisement for our tackle here, but it’s true as can be. Lorie Rig fly rigs and harnesses were responsible for an enormous amount of fish taken this holiday week.  A lot of hard body baits worked too, and we know that if the fish aren’t ready to bite, then  sometimes it doesn’t matter what you drop in the water. But  this was not the week for that, the fish are ready, the fly hatch done, the bite is on. You can cash in on these great catches too. Come on in and get set up for a great fishing experience.
