Here it is Easter weekend and the lakes show very little signs of melting. Our temps here have been mild and with that enormous ice cap on the lakes, it looks like my best guess for re-opening Buck’s will be the week end of May 10. I am sure the lakes have unsafe areas now, since we have had some mid 40 temps and a bit higher at times. I see no activity on either lake [ Long or Grand ] so I have to assume that no one is certain of the ice, or just being careful.
