Saturday, Feb. 16, there will be two ice fishing tournaments on Grand lake. The Grand Lake Association is hosting their annual family fishing derby, and weigh in is from 1 to 7 pm at the north pavilion off of highway 638, and on Grand lake. There will be prizes galore and several fish categories to make the event fun.  There is NO COST for this one, and it is even a free fishing weekend so no fishing  license is required. Start fishing Saturday morning, and be at the pavilion  BY  7 pm.  Prizes are donated by local businesses.

The other tournament  is the 5 Th Reel Fun fishing tournament, which has 1,000 holes to choose from and cost is $25.00 per ticket, you may buy as many as 3 holes. The prizes range from a Quad, to other fantastic prizes such as cash, shanties, augers, electronics and so on. The contest starts at the pre drilled holes  at 12, and goes to 3 pm.You may select your hole by first come-first served at 9 am. Tickets are available here at Bucks, and will also be available at the ice arena on Saturday, still only $25.00.

We will be ready for all your fishing needs, fully stocked with fresh bait, Lorie Rigs, winning tournament rigs, and a lot of other tackle to win great prizes at both contests. Seriously, these rigs have captured many prizes over the years in this very event. Do not go out without one ! [ fair warning ]

The ice is about 16 inches thick and in good shape. It will be cold, but not windy according to the 10 minute weather guarantee people. A great time to have fun, create lasting memories,  catch a  great meal of fish, and who knows, drive home on a brand new quad ? wow.
