YOU CAN TEACH A MAN TO FISH, OR, YOU CAN BUY HIM A LORIE RIG, CLASS DISMISSED !

June 22nd, 2012 by Budd

“How’s the fishing ?” We must get asked that question daily by phone and in person. And doesn’t a picture just really tell the truth and eliminate the doubt ?

These are your fish on a green lime Lorie Rig…Any questions?

Here’s some real good advise too folks, some fishing rules if you just follow these simple ones.

1. There is no guarantee, [ other than the couch will net you zero every time.}

2. Get out there and fish. [unless you don’t fish at all.]

3. Get a Lorie rig on that line, a little bait,and drop it  into the water. {brace yourself}

4. Enjoy a nice Walleye or Pike, or Perch, Blue Gill dinner [ unless you like to catch and release ]

We take fishing seriously folks, because that is all we have done for a living here for 18 years. And we have fun too, which is paramount to fishing, have fun. Lorie rigs is our product and made right here in Alpena, Michigan USA for those of you who try to buy  American. [thank you !] These rigs have been made for this shop for about 35 years, and are excellent all species fishing rigs. The fly rig was introduced by Lorie about four years ago and is just as deadly as the worm harness. The fly rig allows you to use a variety of baits, bugs, crawlers, leeches, minnows, wigglers and waxies, what ever  you think might work. The crawler rigs have three size 4 razor sharp hooks, and the fly rigs have two, set into flies. And the fly rig is available in sizes 2, 4, 6, 8,10. This gives you a wide range to choose from, just match the bait to the hook size.

We also sell a wide variety of tackle.  Hooks, line, sinkers, etc.,rods and reels, live bait.  If you truly want to fish, we have the gear to get you out there, without breaking the bank. We are priced right and have quality bait and tackle.

And the news you have been waiting for, now that the commercial is over. HOW’S THE FISHING ?. I’d have to say folks, it’s great this year. The Pike and Walleye are hitting very good, the Bass are phenomenal again this year, that’s right, phenomenal.  Blue Gill are an easy catch now, and Perch are available, but finicky. Some customers, , say it’s the best  year for fishing these lakes, they have seen in years.

We are open right through and including the 4th of July, no break for us.

OPEN 7-6  7 DAYS A WEEK

Hope to see you soon, Lorie and Budd
