YOU BETTER HURRY

May 2nd, 2010 by Budd

ACT QUICK, LIKE A BUNNY, NOT LIKE, WELL YOU KNOW.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CATCH SOME NICE ATLANTICS IN FRONT OF STONEPORT THAT IS.  THESE FISH ARE IN RIGHT NOW, AND ONLY IN ABOUT 20 TO 30 FEET OF WATER, RIGHT OUT FROM STONEPORT. SPOONS AND BODY BAITS ARE WORKING GREAT, WITH THREE COLORS OF LEAD CORE.  YOU CAN LAUNCH FROM PRESQUE ISLE HARBOR. THESE FISH CAME IN LAST YEAR TOO, BUT THEY DON’T HANG AROUND TOO LONG, AND THE LUCKY GUYS OUT THERE SURE AREN’T TALKING MUCH, BUT WE’VE SEEN THE FISH. SO HURRY, DON’T MISS IT.

ALSO, LAKE TROUT IS OPEN NOW. SO WITH THE NEW BASS EARLY CATCH AND RELEASE SEASON, ALL SPECIES ARE OPEN IN OUR AREA. AND WE HAD SOME SUCCESSFUL FISHERMEN LATELY. A FEW LIMITS OF WALLEYE ON LONG LAKE, SOME VERY NICE PIKE AND PERCH CATCHES FROM GRAND LAKE. BODY BAITS, LIVE BAITS AND LORIE RIGS ARE DOING JUST FINE. ABOUT 12 FEET IS WHAT WE ARE HEARING.

WE WERE AT ROCKPORT HARBOR THURSDAY, AND SOME FOLKS WERE FISHING FOR LAKERS AND ATLANTICS RIGHT OFF THE PIER. YOU CAN SEE THE FISH, AND KIND OF AIM FOR THEM. WE WERE SURPRISED TO SEE THAT  THERE WERE  STILL NO TRIBAL FISHING BOATS  IN THE HARBOR AT ALL.

WE ARE OPEN NOW FROM 8 TO 5, 8 TO 3 ON SUNDAYS.
