HAPPY FATHER’S DAY

June 15th, 2009 by Budd

THIS WEEKEND BELONGS TO THE GUYS, ALL GUYS, DADS OR NOT. AND WHAT A GREAT GIFT FOR YOU TO BE ABLE TO GO OUT ONTO ONE OF OUR BEAUTIFUL LAKES AND CATCH FISH. WALLEYE, PIKE, PERCH, BASS. JUST FOLLOW THESE GUYS.

Ingle Scott June 2009

SERIOUSLY, WALLEYE FISHING ON BOTH LAKES IS SO GOOD RIGHT NOW, WE ARE JUST PLEASED AS CAN BE. AND THERE ARE ALL SIZES TO CATCH OUT THERE. WE HAVE BEEN SEEING A LOT OF CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE BEEN CATCHING A LOT OF SUB LEGALS, AND UP TO 26 INCH WALLEYE. SO THE EFFORT IS REALLY WORTH THE TRIP.
BEST BAITS FOR THESE FISH HAVE BEEN CRAWLERS, LEECHES, AND THE SMALL PERCH SIZE MINNOWS. DEPTHS HAVE BEEN STILL ABOUT 14 FEET OF WATER, BUT WARM WEATHER MIGHT CHANGE THAT, AND WARM WEATHER IS FINALLY HERE.
WE HAVE ALSO HAD A MAJOR MAY FLY HATCH, SO THAT MIGHT CHANGE THE BITE SOMEWHAT. CONTRARY TO A LOT OF FOLKS, THIS DOES NOT SHUT DOWN THE FISHING. IT REALLY MAKES THEM RECKLESS, AND EASIER TO CATCH. THEY MAY BE FULL OF MAYFLIES, BUT THEY ARE STILL GOING AFTER THE OTHER BAITS.
BOTH LONG AND GRAND LAKES ARE KICKING OUT A LOT OF WALLEYE, BASS AND PIKE, BUT THE PERCH SEEM TO BE COMING FROM GRAND LAKE STILL.
THE WEATHER IS BEAUTIFUL THE FISHING IS GREAT, AND WE ARE OPEN 7 TO 6.
HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON
LORIE AND BUDD
