I have decided to open BUCKS BAIT AND TACKLE  Dec, 26.  By then we should have enough ice on Long and Grand lakes to have safe ice fishing. We show a sustained period of very cold nights and cold days coming our way. Our lakes freeze quickly here due to depth of water and of course cold temps. HOWEVER: NO LAKE IS 100% SAFE ALL OVER. BE CAREFUL.

CAUTION: We by no means advise anyone to go out on the ice unless they have tested the ice or know of safe ice to go out on. We definitely do not want you to be unsafe. Look for others already on the ice, ask questions.

The next issue of safety is the  mask issue. A mask is mandatory to enter this bait shop. We have masks available if you do not have one. You WILL NOT BE SERVED without a mask. I wear one to protect myself and all of you, you must do the same here for me.

The very good news here is that our wholesale dealer has gotten some large Blues for us to sell as well as very nice Perch shiners. We are anxious to open  and serve up those big beautiful BLUES, and Lorie has been diligently building her supply of those incredible fly rigs for you.

As we get going here we hope to also have some wigglers and waxworms for you. Those Lorie Rigs I mentioned are perfect for all baits. Blues, big or small, wigglers and grubs. They WILL catch walleye, perch, and panfish, even pike  have attacked them.
