The big event of this winter is THE REEL FUN fishing event, this coming Saturday, February 22, 2020. BE THERE!

But only if you want a chance to win fabulous prizes, 30 of them in all. The cost of the ticket is $30.00 this year. The event is held on Grand Lake at the DNR launch site at Grand Lake Road. For detailed information go to  INFO@IcefishingAlpena.com

The actual time for the tournament is 12 noon, until 3pm. This is  year # 12 for the event, and ALL proceeds go to benefit The Thunder Bay River Center. This will be a facility to provide learning experiences about our great water resources, aquatic life, and marine habitat in general. But the rewards for winning prizes is a very good deal for anglers. All fish must be alive and weighed in promptly. There will be 1200 pre-drilled holes to fish in, you just need to show up and fish.

And BUCKS BAIT AND TACKLE will be playing a role in it too. We are selling tickets to the event as we have these past 11 years of the event. We will be fully stocked with tackle, and bait. Blues, perch minnows, wigglers, waxworms, spikes. WE ARE A FULL SERVICE BAIT STORE.  And we will open our shop for your convenience at 6 am on Saturday. Lorie and I will be here to explain details and show off our tackle, especially those prize winning FLY RIGS that will accept all the bait in the shop.

To our knowledge, from comments  from customers, the ice is fine,  and if the weather bureau is accurate (lol) we can expect temperatures THAT WEEKEND in the high 30 to possibly 40 degrees. SWEET !

And if you need a bait bucket we do have a supply of Styrofoam pails.We also carry sucker minnows, but any bait over 6″ will NOT be allowed. And here is a rule you should enjoy. The winning fish for the grand prize is the largest legal fish in season.  Doesn’t matter what specie,  big perch, walleye, pike, pan fish. Very exciting event.YOU MUST HAVE A VALID MICHIGAN FISHING LICENSE.
