The “FISH FRENZY” outdoor ice fishing tournament on Long Lake this past weekend, ( Jan. 25) was a great success. Taking in consideration of the warm winter and ice conditions, we were pleasantly surprised at the high volume of contestants, the fortitude of the folks to fish on ice that was covered in slush and water. But there were no bad incidents at all.

And the effort put on by the guys who managed it, the food truck, prizes, and great contestant attitude, WOW! We thank you!

NEXT UP. Feb.15, the GRAND LAKE ASSOCIATION FISHING DERBY,FEB 15, AND FEB. 22, THE REEL FUN ICE FISHING TOURNAMENT. ALSO ON GRAND LAKE.

While there are some soft areas on both lakes, slush and snow, and some open water, there are areas that are fishable . EXTREME CAUTION ADVISED.

look for others already on the ice, ask questions. Here at the bait shop we do NOT see the lakes.

HOWEVER:  We are fully stocked with live bait and fishing tackle. And Famous LORIE RIGS are here in full supply. And YES they did win prizes last sat.
