We just completed our first weekend of ice fishing season here and the results were VERY good.

Almost everyone said the ice on Long and Grand lakes is a good solid 6 inches thick. Some reported more. There were quads, side by sides and a few snowmobiles here at the shop, and that was a great sight to see. There is little to no snow on the lakes.

There may be less ice in areas. EXTREME CAUTION IS ADVISED. LOOK FOR OTHER PEOPLE FISHING AND ASK QUESTIONS.

The most gratifying reports were the fish being caught. Pike, walleye, perch. We sold a lot of blues and almost sold out on pike suckers. ( more coming)

There was a bee line for the Lorie Rigs and the Swedish Pimple lures was a big seller too.

A great start and we are very happy to be able to report that.

Only one week until Christmas. We do have a lot of great ice fishing stuff here that might just be a perfect gift idea. Also we have gift certificates.
