July has arrived with enormous heat, wind and fishing potential. When the weather allows the folks to get out and fish the results have been super.

Long lake and Grand lake have been producing nice catches of perch, gills, walleye, pike and bass. Some big pike too!

The heat has pushed most fish into deeper water which is expected. But they still bite and once you find the depth you are catching fish.

Again, best live bait is crawlers, leeches, and perch minnows. We also have golden shiners now, about 4″ long. Great for bass, walleye and pike.
