THE “FAREWELL TO WINTER” ICE TOURNAMENT IS DONE, AND IT WENT QUITE NICELY.  THE WINNERS WERE.

PIKE-GLEN WISNIEWSKI   6LB. 12 OUNCES

WALLEYE- JERRY ZWOLINSKI 4LB 4 OUNCES

3 PERCH- BRIAN ZWOLINSKI  3 LB. 4 OUNCES

YOUTH

WALLEYE-2 LB 10 OUNCES

3 PERCH- 1 LB. 10 OUNCES

THERE WAS A LOT OF PEOPLE FISHING THIS WEEKEND, ON LONG LAKE, GRAND LAKE, AND ESAU.FOR MANY THE FISHING GREAT, FOR SOME IT WAS TOUGH SLEDDING. WE DID SEE QUITE FEW NICE WALLEYE, AND PERCH, BUT ONLY A FEW PIKE.

WELL, WINTER ICE FISHING IS ALMOST OVER. MARCH 15, WALLEYE AND PIKE CLOSES. SPEARING IS CLOSED ON THESE LAKES. ALSO YOUR PERMANENT SHANTIES MUST BE REMOVED ON THE 15TH. PERCH REMAINS OPEN. WALLEYE AND PIKE REOPENS LAST SATURDAY IN APRIL.

IF YOU FISHED THIS TOURNAMENT, WE HOPE YOU HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE. WE’D LIKE TO THANK THE PEPSI CORP. FOR DONATING POP FOR THE CONTESTANTS, AND OUR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR BAKING A LOT OF COOKIES FOR THE CONTESTANTS.

THERE IS STILL TIME LEFT TO CATCH FISH, AND THE ICE IS VERY GOOD. AND WARMER WEATHER IS COMING

OPEN 7AM TO 5PM.
