OPEN WATER

April 10th, 2017 by Budd

Our lakes have thawed and most areas have put the public docks in place, and soon all the species will be open for fishing. We will open on schedule, three weeks from this Friday, May 5. that’s right, the big Cinco de Mayo.

We’ve been doing all the mundane but very necessary chores like yard work, general cleanup, and waiting for that day when the snow is really done falling, and  the temperature rising. It’s here. And I can even say with great satisfaction that my snow shovels are stored, the snow plow is stored and we’re anxious and ready for the Cinco de Mayo.

The only lake report I have right now is that the water level is very high, normal for spring,  and we hope for a very rewarding fishing season.

I’ll keep you posted when we open, and hope that you have a great Easter holiday weekend.

Only a short time now until those Lorie rig crawler harnesses and fly rigs hit the water.

🙂
