There is a little bit of ice on East Bay at Long Lake, enough to fill an Olympic swimming pool. Big deal, right ? Well it’s a start. We will keep getting those higher, and lower temps for a few weeks, but the forecast definitely shows a very cold winter approaching. We’ve had a little snow fall here, and expect that to either melt or get thicker. The best news of all is we are ready for winter and will be very happy to see it. Bucks Bait will be hosting an ice tournament of our own this year, and there are other tournaments coming that will be fun and rewarding as well. The Grand Lake Ice tournament, open to the public, the  “Reel  Fun ” 1,000 hole fishing tournament in Feb, open to the public,the DPI contest open to employees,  and a few others as well. So, a great time is just ahead.

We hope you have had a fun, safe and successful hunting season so far, and will enjoy the ice fishing season too. We are fully stocked now, and will be getting live bait as soon as it is available, ( early Dec we hope) . I will let you know when those beautiful Blues arrive.
