Here comes the biggest summer event of the year, Fourth of July. We just finished a very good weekend, and the weather co-operated most of the time. The winds have been playing havoc with the lakes for about 5 weeks now, but the warmer air is here, and summer is most definitely with us. And with that summer weather comes a time of good fishing, boating, and camping out.
Our fishing report though, is what you really want to hear from this shop, and it is a good report I am happy to say, for a lot of folks who have been into our shop. Not every one of course but a majority of folks fishing have seen good catches and good times on our lakes in this area.
Specifically, walleye, bass, perch, pike and pan fish, have been hitting in most of the favorite areas of out lakes. The lakes are about 5,600 acres each, [LONG LAKE & GRAND LAKE ] of very clean, clear water. Therefore we have a lot of great “hot spots” and they are too numerous to put on this report, and you would not glean much information on them anyway unless you know the lake. What we like to suggest is that when you are in this area to fish, that you come into the shop here and ask to see where these latest areas are, and we will point them out to you on a map we have here. We also have these same maps for sale so you may mark them down, and keep the information handy. Hot spots change almost daily on any lake, and we try and listen in to what is being used and where.
We keep advising you to use our famous Lorie Rigs. Why ? They work. When customers catch fish they tend to come back and use more of the same products. This is how we stay in business, and you need to catch fish for us to be here.
