APRIL FOOLS DAY ?….AGAIN ?

March 28th, 2016 by Budd

Well, we had a really nice couple of warm weeks here and made enormous progress with the snow melting away, and then got an  April fools  type surprise with about 12 inches  (+ – ) of wet snow. So we’re back to watching snow melt  and looking at the lakes to see if they are all water yet. As of today they arenot fully melted, but soggy, soft around the edges and most likely will show more water daily.

In the meantime we have been sprucing up the inside of the bait shop a bit with some paint, and soap and water, and are ready for the semi truck to deliver our summer tackle. We will be ready for your arrival here when Spring really arrives and we look forward to showing off our new tackle, lures and gear.***** We are adding a new line to our Lorie Rig Night Crawler Harness Wall which had to be enlarged to accommodate the  new tackle. Many of our customers have asked for “Specially ” built harnesses for Lake Huron fishing, and Canada. These new harnesses will now be available to the general public, and hanging on the enlarged wall. They will be 36 inches long and have stronger line. They can of course be used anywhere, and we do look forward  to showing off this new line. The 24 inch harnesses will still be available as well, and as you know, they are all hand built with professional care and pride, by a licensed wholesaler. That’s right folks, made right here in America, in Alpena, for those of you who care for the best and the heck with the rest, then use a Lorie Rig.

So there’s my sales pitch and the weather report, and soon we’ll have fishing reports as well. If you think you are anxious for Spring fishing, try watching water droplets fall off the roof daily. We hope you had a great Easter, and we do hope to open either May 7, or May 14, depending on the weather. { I will let you know}

If you have a picture of some locally caught  fish you caught, and would like to share them on this site, send them to bucksbait@gmail.com, [ our e-mail] and we will post some of them. Thanks.

We are closed right now, waiting for spring. 🙂
