WINDING DOWN A BIT NOW

February 28th, 2016 by Budd

The tournaments have come and gone and were they ever exciting, wow. We were blessed with great ice, good fishing, and a lot of fishermen and ladies.

The biggest event was of course the Reel Fun Ice Fishing event, that had 1,000 pre- drilled holes , and was a sold out event. And then to top off the event, we had a high of 52, about 24 inches of ice, and sun shine. All we know for sure right now is that a Walleye was caught about 5 minutes before the closing time, and won the side by side  vehicle. This was a huge event and very successful, and we’d like to thank all of you folks who patronized our bait shop and we hope to see you back next year for this event. We hope you had a great time.

But the fishing is by means over.If you are looking for great ice conditions,  great fishing and catching, and a wonderful meal of fish right out of clean, clear, ice cold water, then you will want to fish Long or Grand lake for a few more weeks. Walleye and Pike season closes March 15, but the Perch just keeps right on being a great fishing option for you and your family.

So we hope to see you here soon and often.Spring is coming, but winter is still here for a while, and so are the  great fishing opportunities.   And do not forget those Lorie rigs. Many of you purchased them and we’d like some feedback and pictures if you don’t mind sending a few. Send them to Bucksbait@Gmail.com and we’ll try and post a few pictures for other to see. We include no names or addresses ever on our site.

THANKS AGAIN !     🙂
