We have some ice fishing tournaments coming soon in this area, and we’d like you to know about them, and maybe fish them and win some prizes and glory.
First on the calender. Jan 30, there will be a tournament held on the Thunder Bay River, sponsored by Norway Party store. The event is one day, from 7 to 3, and the cost to enter is $10.00 You may apply until 7 am Sat. For more information call 989 356-9209.

Second event. The 33 rd annual Grand Lake ice fishing Derby. Feb. 13, 7 to 7, you may weigh in between 1 pm and 7 pm sharp. Prizes galore, NO ENTRY FEE, food and drinks available. Weigh- in is at the north end of the lake at the pavilion. For more information call 989 595-2154, ask for Terry.

Third event, is the 8th annual 1,000 hole tournament, Feb 27, noon to three pm.We have the tickets at Bucks and they are $25.00. This is a huge event with many, many prizes, big $$$$ value prizes, don’t miss this one.

Good news, the ice on the lakes is very good, about 8 to 12 inches, very little snow on the lakes at this time. Fishing is good, ice is good, and the weather looks very good for the next several weeks, if the weather folks can be held accountable for reliable forecasts.
