HOORAY FOR LABOR DAY

September 1st, 2015 by Budd

We had a rather active week weather wise recently that was not good for fishing. After cold rainy , windy weather, we seem to have settled down to a really hot front now, which is about to be followed by more seasonable patterns.
The fishing right now has changed for the better again, but the fish seem to have moved to different locations than previous. Customers are being tight lipped where the secret and hot spots are, but I am sure you will be able to find them if you go out.
Our family went fishing this past Sunday and landed a nice Walleye and several nice big blue gills. We did notice a severe lack of boats out there though. A sure sign that vacations are pretty much over, schools are starting up, and school supplies and clothes are taking precedence over fishing. This happens every year at this time, and we have seen it 22 times now. With that in mind we would like to inform you as to our yearly closing date, which is now September 19. After that we will be closed until December 15, and reopen for ice fishing season.
If you do come to our store before Sept 19, Lorie has just introduced a new line of fly rigs, that we use to catch all species of fish in these lakes. These rigs have some really new, vibrant colors that are attractive in the water, and the hooks have a float on them, that raises the hook and bait and makes them easier to hook up, and from the initial trial periods, wow, are they effective.
This is a must for you to check out and try, and they are the same cost as the fly rigs with out the floats, for now. We’re very excited about these rigs and you will be too.
If you are done fishing for the year, thank you for your patronage, and we hope to see you here for the ice season.
If you are coming here for the Labor Day final extravaganza, please ask about these new rigs, and believe me folks, NO ONE else has them. And please, do not buy cheap imitations.

We will be open right through Labor Day, and then our hours will be abbreviated until closing. But we will still be open 8 to 5 on weekdays until Sept 19.
