First of all, Lorie and I would like to thank  all of you who came to our store this weekend to either participate in the huge 1,000 hole fishing tournament or other events, and braved the horrific weather here to ice fish. We had hundreds of people from all over Michigan and other great states who were so polite to us, and showed such enthusiasm to fish that we are very proud of you, no matter how your day turned out. We do hope you won prizes and caught fish, and most of all, will return next year to fish this event.

We had folks so determined to fish that one couple even brought an ICE SAW with them, just in case they needed it. Wow, what an impressive piece of equipment. I do believe the Vikings would envy this tool.

This was a sold out event, and we would invite anyone who used a Lorie Rig with success, to write this shop, bucksbait@gmail.com,  and let us know of your experience. I will make certain that Lorie receives  all your comments. Since we cannot attend the event and work here as well, we invite all input and comments about the event, good or bad. We know the weather is not an issue for debate, since it is not controlled by  mere mortals, not even the derby judges.

And just so you know, the wind chill today was between -30 and -40. We had a high of 3. We’d like to know how you endured and enjoyed this challenge. Your are, Ladies and Gentlemen, the few. the proud and the very bravest of sports people to walk this great earth, especially Northern Michigan. We salute you !
