Friday, December 12, Buck’s Bait and Tackle will be open for our winter season. The bait truck will be leaving minnows, wigglers and wax worms on that day, and as soon he does, we will open the doors for business.We will then be open           7 to 5 weekdays and Sat, and open 7 to 3 on Sundays. We will be closed on Christmas day, but open through the New Years weekend  holiday, without a break.

We will be stocked with live bait,  and tackle. We have a lot of Polar tip ups in a  lot of colors, as well as the famous Fish Brothers tip up set. Ice rod and reel combos, sleds at sale prices, discount ice spuds and discounted hand augers while they last. You really should check out our prices folks, and we do accept all credit cards, checks and cash. [ we have gift certificates for any amount  ] This store is loaded with great Christmas gifts !

We took a trip around Long and Grand Lakes yesterday, and found them to be frozen all the way across, from north to south. There appeared to be no build up of  snow on the lakes, and most of the ice looked very fresh and very thin. Our temperatures will determine just how much ice will be out there, but while we are seeing a warm up coming during the day times hours, the nights will be below freezing. Caution will be the key word as always, but especially now.

Our biggest selling item each year for several years now, has been the tournament winning fly rig built by Lorie Rigs Tackle. These rigs are for all species of fish in our lakes, and come in 4 sizes. These  jigging rigs work on tip ups, rod and reel combos, and have 2 hand tied flies. Simply match the lazer sharp hook size to your bait, add your minnow, wiggler, or wax worm, and  a bell sinker.
