IT WAS A VERY GOOD SUMMER

September 2nd, 2008 by Budd

EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE A FEW WEEKS LEFT TO SUMMER, AND THERE ARE GOOD FISHING DAYS AHEAD, A LOT OF FOLKS HAVE LEFT FOR SCHOOL, BACK TO WORK, VACATIONS OVER ETC. AND HAVE CLOSED UP COTTAGES AND PUT THEIR BOATS UP FOR THE SUMMER. WE’LL MISS YOU THAT’S FOR SURE, BUT THIS HAPPENS EVERY YEAR AT THIS TIME. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR BUSINESS.

MEANTIME, FOR YOU PEOPLE THAT DON’T CLOSE UP FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND, YOU HAVE SOME GREAT FISHING LEFT. 6 POUND BASS HAVE BEEN CAUGHT IN BOTH LONG AND GRAND THIS PAST WEEK, AS WELL AS SOME VERY NICE “SMALL” ONES, ABOUT 2 TO 4 POUNDS. CLOSE TO SHORE, CRAWLERS, FLOATING BAITS SUCH AS HULA POPPERS AND JITTERBUGS, AND EVEN SPINNERS, HAVE PRODUCED A GREAT DEAL OF FUN BASS FISHING.

AND WALLEYE HAVE STARTED TO BITE, AGAIN. WITH THE ABSENCE OF WAVE RUNNERS AND WATER SKIERS, THE WATER WIL BE MUCH MORE RECEPTIVE TO WALLEYE, AND PERCH FISHING. BLUE GILLS AND PIKE ARE HITTING AS WELL, AND REALLY ALL YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IS A GOOD BOX OF CRAWLERS, AND A LORIE RIG. IT’S JUST LIKE WALKING, YOU DON’T NEED ANY INSTRUCTIONS OR SKILL TO HAVE A GREAT TIME OUT THERE.

CHANGED OUR HOURS NOW.

OPEN 8 TO 5:30

HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON

BUDD AND LORIE

BY THE WAY, LORIE IS FEELING BETTER, AND IS ON A FAST ROAD TO RECOVERY NOW, AND WILL BE SEEN HERE ONCE AGAIN, GIVING YOU A BREAK FROM MY MUG. WELCOME BACK LORIE.
