Today we re-opened the bait shop and were very happy to see some of our faithful customers, and a few new faces as well. We were very pleased with some of the folks stories about how good they are doing catching fish in our area as well as Lake Huron.

The big sellers today were the Lorie Rig fly rigs and crawler harnesses. We heard of early success on Long and Grand, for  Walleye and Perch, as well as a few Pike.  When you get a chance to come in, be sure and ask to see these great rigs, and we’ll make a believer out of you if you haven’t already been converted. And please, for your sake, ACCEPT NO CHEAP IMITATIONS.

Rockport fishermen tell me they are catching a few Lakers, Browns, and even some Atlantics. This does not surprise  me as it happens almost every May but not always.

The weather was not the best today, about 50 and cloudy, but it appears you folks are fed up with winter and tired of making excuses for the weather man and decided to go fish. Thank you and good for you.

We re-stocked the Lorie rigs today again, and we have very good crawlers and minnows for you. We are open right now from 7 to 5  Monday  Through  Sunday, and will bump it up a notch next Friday, May 23, to 7 to 6 seven days a week. That will give you 77 hours of shopping pleasure. By then it looks like the Memorial week end will be great weather wise, and you all will be enjoying life again.
