SPRING IS HERE

March 22nd, 2014 by Budd

As of this posting, Spring is three days old, and the county plow trucks are at work. We continue to have record cold temperatures at night, and snow keeps eroding the progress made in the previous days melting.

Obvious to most anglers, Walleye and Pike are closed until the last Saturday of April and there is definitely not a lot of interest in pan fishing right now through the ice, the enormous ice cap that will take weeks to thaw and then become desirable for fishing.  This shop is closed for now, and we have targeted May 23 for our spring opener. That will be the beginning of Memorial weekend.

We will begin our 20 Th summer in  this business with high hopes, a lot of great tackle, and fresh live bait. We look forward to seeing all of you then.
