The time to re-open the bait shop has arrived. And it looks like a great start for the winter. The lakes are covered in ice and there is a little snow on them. I  don’t know the depths all over yet, but we have heard a few encouraging reports from friends and family, and we have even heard of a sighting of a snow machine on Grand lake. You surely don’t need to hear this, but use caution out there, and be safe.  Our temps have been frigid, and this morning it was zero here. But as always, as on any lake especially as big as Long and Grand, be careful.
