THE ICE , MAN, IS COMING SOON !
We have had some very cold temperatures lately, [ 19 degrees ] this being mid November, and we have tracking snow on the ground here today. This will undoubtedly melt and then refreeze, but summer and fall are definitely over, winter is approaching and we will reopen the store by Dec. 12, regardless of the weather. This my good friends is less than a month away.
And we will be ready for you and will have great shiners for perch and walleye, and suckers for pike. We will have a great inventory of tip ups, rods and reels for ice, jigging Rapalas, Swedish Pimples galore, tear drops, Buckshot lures, and so much more. We will have our now famous and competition winning Lorie Rigs fly rigs, for catching every thing from gills to pike, and she has even added some more color choices that proved very successful in some of our other stores. Some of these were special orders and not to be sold publicly for one year, well one year has passed and these award winners are at the store, now !
And we look forward to the oncoming season so much that we will have our own ice fishing tournament right here at Buck’s. There will be a few other ice tournaments for the public, including the ” 1,000 hole tournament” on Grand lake during the free fish weekend, also the Grand Lake Association tournament, which we believe will be a different weekend than the !,000 hole festival.
Our tournament will be similar to other ones we’ve had, with a sign up fee, and a 100 % pay back to the contestants. We will announce the date later, so as not to compete with the other tournaments. This will be for Long and Grand Lake ice fishermen and ladies and children, and will be a reward for our loyal customers. We will have three place winners in the Perch, Pike, and Walleye species. [ 9 prizes ] The more people that sign up, the bigger the prizes so plan on this event some time soon! We are thinking of calling this the BUCK DYNASTY REWARD EVENT. More on this as the details become known.
So with that, we wish you a very good Thanksgiving, a great deer hunt, and an even better ice season.
By the way, the Long Lake Association planted $ 7,000.00 worth of 6″ walleye last month.
See you soon,
Lorie and Budd
