FALL COLORS

October 24th, 2016 by Budd

Fall colors here are at their peak now. We expect that to last about 2 more weeks, so by around Nov. 7, we can expect to see a dramatic drop of leaves and cooler weather coming in. One reason folks here love to live in this area is the beautiful fall colors. And a trip anywhere here, from Alpena to the top of the UP will give you a fantastic show, and make you a believer too.

We are hearing good news from the weather reports as far as winter weather that is fast approaching this area. It appears that a very cold front is coming here in late November and will carry on into all of December. If this happens, we will surely have early ice and may have to rethink our opening day  to an earlier day also. WOW, first ice is always the best ice and we see no reason why those Perch won’t be hitting in Black Bass Bay. So you may want to come in  here and load up on those Lorie Rigs that are sooo good for Perch catching.

I’ll keep you posted as to our plans, but right now, enjoy the full fall color, and hunting season. And as you know, we’ll be ready for you here with a full line of ice fishing tackle, live bait, and new stuff that will make you want to get out there and ice fish.

WE ARE NOW CLOSED BUT LOOK FORWARD TO OPENING FOR FIRST ICE.
