Right now, April 13, this area is covered with a blanket of wet snow and sleet. The lakes are a mess, with wet snow, ice, and water by the stream areas and the dam areas. If you don’t live in this area, you might want to know that in our 19 years here, the lakes [ Long & Grand ] have always been thawed out by April 15. It is highly unlikely that will happen in two days. So our optimistic opening date of May 10, may be delayed a week or even two. I will let you know though, the minute we are open.
