Dec 24, we have some ice and the\u00a0temperatures\u00a0are in the 20 degree range and going lower. \u00a0Right after Christmas I’ll give another update, looks good though for possible action out there in a few days. MERRY CHRISTMAS ! *********<\/p>\n

Here is the update I promised. for ice fishing in our area. First of all, as of today we have no safe ice on either Long or Grand. The good news is we did not get the foretold “blizzard” which\u00a0would\u00a0dump up to 2 feet of \u00a0snow here. Instead we got a huge rain storm and gale force winds. The west side of the state did not fare so well though. This morning we have about 1 \u00a01\/2 inches of \u00a0snow on the ground, with a crust of ice on top. The very good news is the forecasts all show a dramatic drop in temperatures\u00a0starting\u00a0tonight. \u00a0By the end of this weekend, we will have night time temperatures in the teens and single digits. If I had to guess on a time the ice might be \u00a0here, I would guess by New Years. \u00a0Again, I will let you know. This is only a guess.<\/p>\n

So the best I can do for now is to keep you all informed, and wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS. \u00a0We are fully stocked, ready for ice and customers.<\/p>\n

And don’t forget folks, we have a new public access for you on the south end of long lake, for quads, snowmobiles, and foot traffic, just minutes from this bait shop.<\/p>\n
