THE COLORS ARE GONE, THE TREES ARE BARE, AND MOST OF MY CUSTOMERS ARE OUT LOOKING FOR GAME OF SOME SORT IN THE WOODS. WE HAVE HAD RAIN AND WIND RIGHT THROUGH THIS SEASON, AND WINTER CANNOT COME SOON ENOUGH FOR US AT BUCK’S BAIT AND TACKLE.<\/p>\n

THERE ARE STILL A FEW DIE HARD FISHEMEN GOING ONTO LONG AND GRAND LAKES. THOSE FEW PEOPLE, DRESSED IN SNOWMOBILE SUITS, ARE BRINGING IN SOME VERY FINE CATCHES OF WALLEYE AND PERCH.NOT EVERY TIME THEY GO OUT, BUT WHEN THEY DO RUN INTO THE FISH, THEY ARE GETTING LARGE FISH, AND LARGE AMOUNTS. THE VAST MAJORITY OF FISH CAUGHT IS WITH MINNOWS NOW. PERCH SHINERS AND BLUES. THE METHODS ARE STILL THE SAME, TROLLING, JIGGING AND CASTING. IT APPEARS MOST GUYS ARE OPTING FOR JIGGING, USING EITHER THE\u00a0 NEW LORIE PERCH RIG, OR JIG HEADS.<\/p>\n

WELL, THE TIME HAS COME WHERE I AM FORCED \u00a0TO CLOSE THE SHOP FOR A FEW WEEKS. THERE JUST HAVE NOT BEEN ENOUGH FOLKS GOING OUT FISHING. TOO MUCH RAIN, WIND, AND OTHER\u00a0 THINGS TO DO LIKE HUNTING. SO I AM CLOSED NOW UNTIL ABOUT NOVEMBER 27, 28.
