ON AVERAGE WE ARE HEARING FOUR TO SIX INCHES OF GOOD ICE ON BOTH LAKES.<br \/>\nBLACK BASS BAY SEEMS TO HAVE FADED IN IT&#8217;S BID FOR A PERCH FRENZY, BUT I GOT REPORTS TONIGHT OF BEAUTIFUL WALLEYE COMING IN AT NIGHT, JUST SOUTH OF BLACK BASS BAY IN DEEPER WATER, USING GREYS.<br \/>\nALSO WHISKEY BAY, WHISKEY POINT, BURNT ISLAND, AND BROWN ISLAND HAVE HAD REPORTS OF VERY NICE PERCH DURING THE DAY.<br \/>\nLONG LAKE HAD SHOWN SOME SIGNS OF LIFE AROUND ROUND TOP, AND IN THE BAY AREAS. THERE ARE TWO PERMANENT SHANTIES AT ROUND TOP NOW.<br \/>\nMOST FOLKS ARE USING GREYS AND BLUES AT GRAND LAKE, AND ON LONG LAKE THEY ARE USING THOSE ALSO, ALONG WITH WIGGLERS, WAXWORMS AND PERCH SHINERS. BOTH TIP UPS AND JIGGING POLES ARE BEING USED. WE HAVE HEARD OF QUADS AND SNOWMOBILES ON BOTH LAKES. THE ICE IS EARLY, AND WE HAVE A LOT OF WINTER LEFT, SO BE VERY CAUTIOUS OUT THERE.<br \/>\nWE WILL BE OPEN 7 TO 5 NOW, EXCEPT DEC. 24 WE WILL CLOSE AT 2 PM, AND WE WILL BE CLOSED CHRISTMAS DAY.
