Not that card game, GO FISH ! Hey, warm weather is here, water looks and feels great and the folks going out fishing have been telling me some very nice tales, well, some of them anyway. I am hearing stories about fish being caught right off the pier at Rockport Harbor, in Long and Grand lakes, the Narrows, and in the Thunder Bay river and in the Bay.<\/p>\n

Walleye, Perch, a few Atlantic, \u00a0quite a few Bass, ( check your rule book before you keep one) and even some Blue gills. Oh and make sure you have that new fishing license. Even if you forget, DNR won’t.<\/p>\n

And if you want to hear a longer version of those stories of fish, you’ll have to come \u00a0to the store and make a visit.<\/p>\n

I heard some interesting fish stories from Arizona this week. Why is that interesting ? Lorie was out there visiting family and was taken out fishing in a lake in the Phoenix area. \u00a0She sent pictures of her and their catch one day. Fifteen Striped Bass. Yep I checked, theses fish are being stocked in some inland lakes and have met with great success. \u00a0The really interesting part of this fish story is that they were all using Lorie Rigs. The bait on them was anchovies. \u00a0So if you are ever in the Phoenix area, get some Loire Rigs here first and some anchovies there. ( just trying to help you folks)<\/p>\n

But right here, in the great North country, we use live bait on them. Crawlers, minnows, leeches, or \u00a0leaf worms. And they work just fine here too.<\/p>\n
