I \u00a0have the results of the Long Lake fishing tournament last Saturday. The perch sizes that took prizes ranged from 11 1\/2 inches to 13 3\/4 inches. Not bad at all. The walleye \u00a0that took prizes,from 9 1\/2inches to 20 1\/2 inches. Excellent. \u00a0The tournament, known as the ” FISH FRENZY OUTDOORS” \u00a0run by a group of young men who did an excellent job of management, policing, \u00a0and awarding \u00a0prizes. The results of course show that were a lot of nice fish caught in that area.<\/p>\n

And the weather once again is still with us in our area. I have been told by a couple of customers as late as today, that the ice in some areas is up to 24 inches thick due to this latest \u00a0cold snap. But Saturday we may hit 40 and see the sun again. VERY NICE!<\/p>\n

Both lakes are still producing a great \u00a0amount of catches. I cannot express how happy we are with the results this year as are the customers.<\/p>\n

Depths still range about 14 feet for those perch, and walleye. But some folks have caught them as shallow as 4 feet. Another big change is the use of wigglers on both lakes We’re selling a lot of this right now. ( they go great attached to a Lorie rig fly rig designed for them.)<\/p>\n
