A tour around the lakes yesterday revealed only a \u00a0few bays still holding ice slush. I saw many forms of water fowl including a pair of Loons at the East bay on Long. Most folks who appreciate the outdoors are impressed with the sight and\u00a0sound\u00a0of those beautiful Loons.<\/p>\n<p>Another nice sight was the installation of the docks at the Small Boat Harbor in Alpena. There were a few empty boat\u00a0trailers\u00a0there too, and one cruiser in the dock area. A good start.<\/p>\n<p>We are still plagued with sub freezing nights, and below normal highs here, but Spring will eventually win out.
