The Long Lake family fun day has come and gone and it was a mixed bag of bad weather, and great fishing. We had sunny skies but harsh winds that knocked the boats and people around all day. Still, the results are in and look great. The winning perch were from 11 1\/2 inches to 12 1\/2 inches. The bass were in the 18 to 19 3\/4 inch range, and the pike were 24 1\/2 to 27 1\/2. The walleye\u00a0brought\u00a0in, \u00a0measured \u00a016 1\/4 to 20 1\/4. The youth division had blue gills from 7 1\/4 to 10 1\/4. The\u00a0prizes\u00a0were well received and the raffles and sales brought in a good amount of cash for restocking walleye this fall.<\/p>\n

Grand lake is continuing with it’s good fishing as well, and we have a \u00a0lot of very happy\u00a0customers\u00a0in these past\u00a0three\u00a0or four weeks. \u00a0But it is August now, and the summer is winding down. If you want to get into the action of catching fish on these lakes,\u00a0possibly\u00a0 one of the best years in many, you need to make it out \u00a0to the lakes and fish.<\/p>\n
