Wow, nice purse to take home for sure. Fish for money, a very nice concept. The Michigan Brown Trout/Walleye/Bass derby continues here for another week, with concerts, food and crafts and lots of fun events for the entire family. Hmm. I wonder how many of those walleye rigs sold here took winning fish ?[Lorie Rigs of course.]

Meanwhile, Long Lake  and Grand Lakes are still giving out a lot of fishing fun for our customers, and the weather has even co-operated a few days now. We’re still seeing the usual amount of perch, walleye, and pike coming in and a lot of very nice bass.

NOTE : THE SOUTH DNR LAUNCH ON GRAND LAKE IS OPEN. THE CONSTRUCTION HAS BEEN DELAYED. 🙂

Coming events: Do not forget to  participate in the Long Lake annual family fish derby,August 6. A one day event for any family on or off  Long Lake. You simply need to get a membership card for $ 15.00 and the entire household fishes for that low price. Prizes galore, fun fishing, and the event is over by 3  pm. Starts at 7 am. This is a low stress, high fun event. Get those tickets here at Bucks bait shop if you like. While here, ask Lorie or Budd where they think the fish might be hiding, and what lure to use . (hint) Lorie rigs, either the fly rigs or the famous crawler harnesses. We have the best crawlers in the county, maybe even in the entire state, and we check every single box for it’s quality prior to leaving the store. We then hope to send you to a great location and catch fish, win some $$$ and prizes, and have fun. Any  and all fishermen/ladies/kids are welcome in this event, regardless where you live.
